Third-Party Studies
The United States Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory has conducted life-cycle analyses of the production of fuels from the Fischer-Tropsch process based on various feedstocks. The results indicate that greenhouse gas emissions of synthetic fuels can be comparable to or lower than those generated in the production of petroleum-derived diesel.
