Keith B. Forman
Chief Executive Officer, President & Director
Mr. Forman was appointed CEO, President and director of Rentech in December 2014. Mr. Forman has served as a member of the board of directors of Rentech Nitrogen Partners LP since October 2011. Mr. Forman has an extensive background in master limited partnerships (MLPs). He has worked with MLPs in a variety of roles including as a banker, a senior executive and a director since the inception of MLPs in the 1980s. He previously served as chief financial officer of Crestwood Midstream Partners L.P., a private investment partnership focused on making equity investments in the midstream energy market. He also served as senior vice president for El Paso Corporation, a publicly traded provider of natural gas services, and chief financial officer of GulfTerra Energy Partners, L.P., a publicly traded MLP acquired by Enterprise Products Partners L.P. Mr. Forman currently serves on the board of Capital Product Partners L.P., a publicly traded shipping MLP. Mr. Forman received a B.A degree in economics and political science from Vanderbilt University.
Jeffrey R. Spain
Chief Financial Officer & Senior Vice President
Jeffrey R. Spain serves as chief financial officer of Rentech and the general partner of Rentech Nitrogen Partners, L.P. He is responsible for overseeing the finance and accounting functions for both companies. Mr. Spain served as Rentech’s senior vice president of finance, accounting and administration for Rentech’s wood fibre group immediately prior to his appointment as CFO. Mr. Spain has held various senior financial and accounting roles at Rentech since 2011, and he most recently played a critical role in the financial turnaround of Fulghum Fibres. Mr. Spain's experience spans over 20 years and includes investment banking and operations management and chief financial officer roles of high growth companies. His past employers include Credit Suisse First Boston, LeadPoint, Inc. and eNutrition, Inc., and Kimberly-Clark Corporation. Mr. Spain received his Masters of Business Administration from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA and earned his Bachelor's degree in finance from Southern Methodist University.
Senior Vice President of Human Resources
Joe Herold joined Rentech in December, 2011 in the role of Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Mr. Herold also serves as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Rentech Nitrogen Partners, L.P. During the past 30 years, Mr. Herold has worked in the oil, chemical, aerospace and semiconductor industries, with leadership roles in operating sites, engineering design centers, sales & service offices and division & corporate headquarters. His experiences include leadership roles with Occidental Petroleum, AlliedSignal Aerospace, Robertshaw Controls and International Rectifier, where he held the position of VP, Global Human Resources. Mr. Herold has an extensive background in designing and implementing talent management and leadership development processes, organizational due diligence and integration of mergers & acquisitions, building effective employee engagement and labor relations partnerships and facilitating organization change. Mr. Herold is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University, a member of the Human Resources Roundtable (HARRT) at UCLA's Anderson School of Business and a member of the Advisory Board to the Master's in Human Behavior program at USC. He also serves as a life skills trainer and mentor at Covenant House Los Angeles, and has served on the Training Advisory Board for Inroads LA.
Colin M. Morris
Senior Vice President and General Counsel
Colin Morris serves as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Rentech, which he joined in June 2006. Mr. Morris also serves as General Counsel for Rentech Nitrogen Partners, L.P. He practiced corporate and securities law at the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins LLP from 2004 to 2006. Previously, Mr. Morris spent seven years practicing corporate and securities law in the Silicon Valley offices of Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich and Rosati and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP.
Mark R. Wilson
Chief Executive Officer, New England Wood Pellet
Mark R. Wilson serves as Chief Executive Officer of Rentech’s retail commercial heating business, New England Wood Pellet (NEWP). Mr. Wilson joined NEWP in March 2007. While at NEWP, Mr. Wilson has grown NEWP’s revenues by over 400% through new construction, acquisitions and expansions. Prior to his work in the wood pellet business, Mr. Wilson was predominantly engaged in the high technology turnaround business, holding executive positions at OpenCell Corp., LANart Corporation, and Telebit Corporation. Mr. Wilson earned a B.S. degree in materials engineering from Cornell University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Boston University.
Julie Dawoodjee Cafarella
Vice President, Investor Relations and Communications
Julie Cafarella brings over a decade of investor relations, communications and public reporting experience to her position of Vice President of Investor Relations and Communications at Rentech. Mrs. Cafarella also serves as Vice President of Investor Relations and Communications for Rentech Nitrogen Partners, L.P. Prior to joining Rentech in 2007, Mrs. Cafarella served as Senior Manager, Financial and Operations Analysis and Investor Relations at Overhill Farms, a publicly-traded food manufacturer. She also previously held the position of Manager, Investor Relations and Financial Research for fiber optic telecommunications provider Global Crossing, a NYSE listed company. Prior to that, she worked at the Investment Banking firm of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (Credit Suisse First Boston) where she worked on IPO and M&A transactions. Mrs. Cafarella graduated with honors from the University of Southern California, with a B.S. in business administration with a concentration in finance and a minor in psychology. She is a member of the National Institute of Investor Relations (NIRI) and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
Vice President of Wood Chipping
Kevin Cain joined Rentech in March, 2014. In his current role as vice president of wood chipping, Mr. Cain will focus on improving operating and financial performance at all 26 U.S. Fulghum Fibres mills, along with growing Fulghum’s wood chipping business in North America. Mr. Cain’s experience spans over 35 years in the paper and forest products industry working in wood procurement, timberland management, marketing, sales, international project management, and business development efforts. His past employers in the paper and forest products industry include Southwest Forest Industries, Stone Container, Smurfit-Stone Container, Mead Paper, MeadWestvaco, and Rayonier. Mr. Cain graduated from Northern Arizona University with a B.S. degree in Forestry.
Dennis C. Corn
Vice President, Projects
Dennis C. Corn joined Rentech in March, 2015 as Vice President, Projects. He is responsible for managing the late stage development and execution of Rentech’s major capital projects across all of its business lines, including the Canadian wood pellet facilities. His career spans over 35 years and his experience includes the project development and management of large complex projects such as natural gas fired, coal fired, geothermal, and biomass to power projects and coal and natural gas-to-liquids projects. His past employers include Florida Power & Light, Air Liquide, Southern Electric International, Calpine, FPL Energy and Eastman Chemical. He has also worked as an independent consultant for research firms focused on the commercialization of technologies in the power space, independent power developers, and private equity firms. Dennis received his B.S in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Managing Director of Canada
Steve Roberts joined Rentech in January, 2012. As managing director of Rentech’s Canadian operations, Mr. Roberts is responsible for managing, operating and growing our industrial wood pellets business. Mr. Roberts previously led the team responsible for establishing and maintaining customer and commercial relationships for the business segment. Mr. Roberts started his career in Northern Ontario as a logging operations manager responsible for the harvest and delivery of over 400,000 tonnes of roundwood and pulp chips. Mr. Roberts has held progressively responsible operations management positions with Weyerhaeuser Company Ltd and Tembec Inc., where he specialized in process optimization and margin improvement. For three years, Mr. Roberts represented the Ontario Public Service in a senior business development position specializing in biomass, energy and fuels. Mr. Roberts received an Honours Bachelor of Sciences in Forestry degree from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
