About Us
Rentech aligns itself with specific associations which promote the use of bio-based products. The associations which we are members of allow us to stay abreast of changes occurring in the industry and exchange valuable information to help promote bio-products both domestically and worldwide.
The Advanced Biofuels Association
The Advanced Biofuels Association (ABFA), a Washington, D.C. based group, represents cutting
edge producers of renewable advanced biofuels and renewable biomass feedstocks. The ABFA
strives to be the voice of the advanced biofuels industry by engaging the federal and state
governments at all levels to secure a level playing field for their members’ innovative
technologies. As a member of the ABFA since 2009, Rentech seeks to move our country closer to
achieving energy and economic security.

The Low Carbon Synthetic Fuel Association
The Low Carbon Synthetic Fuel Association (LCSFA) was formed to address the legislative and
regulatory inequities hindering the development of advanced biofuels. The LCSFA represents
technology providers, project developers, and downstream users that encompass the whole value
chain of biomass-to-liquids. The LCSFA focuses on lobbying for the advanced bio-synthetic fuel
industry to address existing legislative and regulatory inequities that have slowed or hindered
their development. Rentech has been a member of the LCSFA since 2009 informing policy makers of
the positive environmental benefits of biofuels compared to petroleum.
